HEALTH INSURANCE AND MEDICAL SERVICES GUIDELINE

(FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ONLY)

Please be informed that in case of using any medical services, all students of International University of Sarajevo (IUS) have the right to use services of „Alea dr.Kandić | Zdravstvena ustanova” where you have discount in amount of 15% immediately and are covered by „EUROHERC OSIGURANJE SARAJEVO“ health insurance company.

Note: Health insurance will become effective 30 days after the submission of all documents required for a residence permit to the IUS IRO visa department.

Participation of insured persons in each account issued by public and private health services is up to 90% of the total amount of the service price that the patient is obliged to pay.

In order to use the health services efficiently, please follow these steps:

For every medical service in any of the medical centers, ask for a fiscal bill !
Open a Bosnian bank account
Submit an appeal in written form with all fiscal bills and bank account information to IRO-VISA Office.

The annual limit of coverage per person for the items listed below is BAM 1,000.00. :

Medical examinations,
Diagnostic procedures (laboratory diagnostics, radiology, examinations),
prescribed medications within a generally accepted medical treatment,
Medical supplies (eg Dioptric glass and lenses, etc.),
Psychotherapeutic treatments
Physiotherapy treatments.

NOTE: Health insurance does not cover the costs of hospital treatment (Urgent and exceptional cases are to be revised by the insurance company!)
