Strengthening International Ties: Pamukkale University Delegation Visits IUS
On Monday, December 8, 2025, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) welcomed a delegation from Pamukkale University, headed by Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör and International Relations Office Coordinator Dr. Yaşam Demir. The guests were received by IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı, Vice-Rector for General Affairs Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammed Yasir Göz, and IRO Manager Mr. Mugdim Alihodžić.
The meeting marked an important step toward expanding international cooperation, formally confirmed through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and an Interinstitutional Erasmus Exchange Agreement.
These agreements lay the foundation for dynamic collaboration between the two universities, creating new opportunities for student and staff exchanges, joint teaching and training activities, and collaborative research initiatives. Future cooperation will also include shared academic events, the exchange of publications and research resources, and the development of cultural projects such as reciprocal art exhibitions. Beyond institutional ties, the partnership is designed to promote intercultural learning, broader worldviews, and exposure to new academic environments, strengthening the international experience of both students and faculty.
This new partnership reflects IUS’s continued commitment to internationalization and academic excellence, reinforcing its network of global partners and fostering meaningful cooperation that benefits learning, research, and cultural exchange.
