In the last four years, more than 600 incoming and outgoing students, academic and administrative staff have taken part in the exchange either through Erasmus+, Mevlana programs or individual exchange. The cooperation spans from Turkey to France, Luxemburg, Italy, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Morocco, Iran, Malaysia and USA.

Among the 150 IUS Erasmus+ exchange students that the International Relations Office has processed in the past three academic years, 5 students: Benjamin Đug, Amar Tirić, Sara Spahić, Ahmed Adžemović and Amina Agović were invited to take part at the Western Balkans Alumni Association that took place in Ohrid, FYR Macedonia from March 15-17, 2018.

Gorica Stevanović, a PhD student of the English Language and Literature Program at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS)  is doing her Erasmus+ exchange at the University of Zielona Góra (Poland) during the 2017/18 Spring Semester. She deems that this is a one-off experience both for her academic and professional life.

For the past two years, international student internship at IUS has been organized by the International Relations Office (IRO) of IUS. Several students from France, Spain, USA, and Turkey applied for one-month or longer internships at IUS, where they were given the opportunity to acquire new skills and experience of professional work.
