Through the International Relations Office, IUS increased its international recognition and attractiveness of new forms of cooperation. The Office progressively carried out negotiations to sign agreements in various fields of study with prominent universities, institutions, centers and companies from different regions of Europe and the world. By signing these bilateral agreements, IUS gained rights to mobility of students as well as academic and administrative staff working in different scientific areas.
IUS is a member of EUA and IAU, and is accredited by Agency for Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance (HEA).

EXCHANGE PROGRAMS
Exchange programs are designed in a way to give the opportunity to students and academic staff to study, teach and do research at a university abroad. Students pay no tuition fee to the host university if they participate in the Erasmus+ and Mevlana exchange programmes.
Students sign up to spend one or two semesters on the exchange and professors have the opportunity to spend from one to two weeks at the exchange institution. The exchange will enable them to improve their knowledge and skills, exchange experiences, and express their quality and internationally. The administrative staff can also attend various trainings for a period of five working days.
Coordinated by the International Relations Office, a record number of applicants - 249 people (in and out) - students, academic and administrative staff - participated in exchange in the 2017-2018 academic year.

The International Relations Office occasionally organizes international visits, events and lectures. Lectures are held by current Ambassadors in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as recognized experts and senior officials of international organizations. Through these lectures we try to bring exceptional and qualified lecturers who are truly competent and who can make a considerable contribution to their fields in a way that will inform IUS students, as well as the wider audience, about the current global trends, social, economic, political and cultural situation and activities in the world.
